Thala 55 release in December; audio launch in November

Gautham Menon has confirmed that Ajith’s yet-untitled flick, fondly called by fans as Thala 55, will release in December. The audio launch of the film is scheduled sometime around November. The makers have already finalized the title, but are waiting for the right time to unveil it. “We have a title, but we want to wait before announcing it. There is so much buzz around it and this is exactly what a hero’s film is all about,” says Gautham Menon to a daily.

Gautham Menon has also promised that audiences will get to see a romantic Ajith in this film. “We’ve shot a romantic song, Mazhai Varapoguthey, recently with Ajith and he has done it beautifully,” he added. Unlike other films, Ajith’s character name won’t be highlighted in the film’s title and that’s a request put forward to Gautham by Ajith. Gautham has also confirmed that his film with Simbu is not shelved contrary to rumors and that he will resume the project in December. Simbu’s film has only 30 days of shoot left.
