Telugu rights for Vijay Antony’s Saithan secured

Following the phenomenal success of Bichagadu (the Telugu dubbed version of Pichaikkaran), the rights for the Telugu version of Vijay Antony’s upcoming film Saithan have been secured by producer S. Venugopal of Win Win Win Creations. The film, which is currently under the post production stage, will be released simultaneously in both Tamil and Telugu in August.

Bought for an economical sum of INR 50 lakhs, Bichagadu has turned out to be a sensation in AP and Telangana. The film has been declared a blockbuster, with earnings of over Rs. 18 crores gross. The buyers are hopeful that it will soon touch INR 20 crores before this weekend.

Directed by debutant Pradeep Krishnamurthy, Saithan also stars Arundhati Nair, Alisha Abdulla and Meera Krishnan in important roles.
