Taramani Songs Review
Review Overview
Yaaro Ucchikilai Meley
Unn Badhil Vendi
Unnai Unnai Unnai
Kaadhal Oru Kattukkadhai
Oru Koappai
Paavangalai
Variant mixtape, exhibiting jauntiness.
In Taramani, Yuvan paves away from his two earlier albums for Ram, and delivers material which can cater to the youth in importance. The result is a glorious soundtrack which takes time to get accustomed, but once that's done, you'll be hooked. Yuvan surely finished 2016 on a high.
Cast: Vasanth Ravi, Andrea
Music: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Lyrics: Na MuthuKumar
Director: Ram
Label: JSK Film Corporation
Yaaro Ucchikilai Meley: Singer – Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan gets both the tune and the hook absolutely right with this one, it is without doubt the instant hit of this album. Our PICK.
Unn Badhil Vendi: Singers – Yuvan Shankar Raja, Siddharth and Sruthi S
A temporarily listenable track, with lies on the pathos line. The music at the background is more invigorating than the vocals, thanks to Sruthi’s chorus bit.
Unnai Unnai Unnai: Singers – Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sruthi S
Beautiful little number which is carefully composed and knitted together. The lyrics do stand out at many places, making it our PICK.
Kaadhal Oru Kattukkadhai: Singers – Suvi and Rita
It’s the English rap portions that make this click. The rhythm changes for the better towards the end, making it more enjoyable than what it actually is. However, the tune is something that is quite familiar to Yuvan’s strides.
Oru Koappai: Singer – Andrea
Andrea with her western influences comes out with a blazing rendition here, resulting in a hallucinating number. With time, this is sure to go places especially with the slow-mo seekers. Look out for the warning in the middle by the director, you may or may not like that intrusion.
Paavangalai: Singer – Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan continues to grab the mic again in the album, this time for a devotional song. It’s nice to see a change in an album mostly reigned by EDM.
