Suriya plays a pivotal role in the film, and will feature in the second half along with Amala Paul. Director Pandiraj has ensured that Haiku will be the last of his trilogy for children, which earlier included Pasanga and Marina. This is a cute little film to look forward to. Science fiction films are a rarity in Tamil Cinema. After a long time, we have a big star opting to go for a never-seen-before sci-fi adventure, which will be a first of its kind for the audience. Suriya himself bankrolls this project under his banner known as ‘2D Entertainments’. A major part was shot in a lavish set erected in Mumbai at the cost of 4 crores for this film, which has Samantha playing the female lead. If all goes well, 24 might be the third time we will see Suriya onscreen in 2015, come Diwali. Suriya reportedly plays a triple role in the film.

Suriya’s tryst with Hari has worked wonders at the Box Office. The film is expected to go on floors in September after Suriya completes ’24’, and will feature Anushka as the main lead once again. Shruti Haasan also plays one of the female leads. The team has also roped in Anirudh Ravichander to compose music. Suriya is expected to bring his tough look back for the last time, along with the celebrated Singam mustache. Though Singam 2 failed to match up to the excitement levels in the first installment, one does hope director Hari can construct a memorable entertainer to end the series on a high. If sources are to be believed, Suriya will be seen essaying the role of a CBI officer.

Bose from Thirupathi Brothers, who presented Sathuranga Vettai, revealed few months back that Suriya’s film will not be a sequel but a fresh script under the con genre. Suriya impressed with his performance as a con-man in his last film Massu and his role Bala’s Pithamagan also stays memorable. So, the expectations are quite high for this film from the fans.
