Sonakshi Sinha reveals her role in Lingaa

It was reported wildly in both print and online media that the story of Lingaa revolves around a king living in the pre-independent and post-independent era. Now, the Sonakshi Sinha, the gorgeous damsel from Bollywood spilled the beans on the story as well as her role in a daily. “I am part of the 1940s generation and I play a girl who helps Rajinikanth. The look and the setting are completely new and I am quite kicked about my part,” reveals Sonakshi.

Recently, the team was denied permission to film an important sequence in the Mysore Palace. It is said that to retain the authenticity of the pre-independence period, they considered it appropriate to shoot in the palace rather than staging a spectacular set. The film directed by KS Ravikumar also has Anushka playing the lead role in addition to Sonakshi.
