Siddharth’s Enakkul Oruvan clears censors with a clean U

As Siddharth is awaiting the release of his opus Kaaviya Thalaivan on November 28th, his next film Enakkul Oruvan has been granted a tidy ‘U’ certificate by the censor board. Enakkul Oruvan is the official remake of the widely-recognized and celebrated Kannada film Lucia directed by Pawan Kumar. Directed by debutant Prasad Ramar, the film has Deepa Sannidhi of Yatchan fame playing the female lead.

Produced by CV Kumar for Thirukumaran Entertainment, it has cinematography by Gopi Amaranath and music by Santhosh Narayanan. The film is slated to hit the screens in January 2015. The makers are reported to be targeting January 2nd as the release date before the Pongal releases take the box-office by storm. However, if Shankar – Vikram’s I hits the screens for Christmas, Enakkul Oruvan will be postponed to a later date.
