Shamlee plays ‘Anjali’ in Veera Sivaji

Vikram Prabhu’s Veera Sivaji, which has Shamlee playing the lead role, is gearing up for a summer release. Interestingly, to cash in on Shamlee’s immense popularity for her role in Mani Ratnam’s Anjali, director Ganesh Vinayak has named her character Anjali in the film.

Vikram Prabhu, who essays the role of taxi driver, plays Sivaji. The plot revolves around an incident which happens during Sivaji’s trip from Pondicherry to Kanyakumari. Veera Sivaji also has John Vijay and Robo Shankar in important roles. Apart from Veera Sivaji, Shamlee is also part of Dhanush’s Kodi, which also co-stars Trisha in a negative role.
