“Sethupathi is not like Suriya’s Singham,” says director

Director Arun Kumar, who made the heartwarming Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum, has assured that Sethupathi will elevate Vijay Sethupathi to the next level in his career. “This is not like Surya’s Singam. It will take some more time for Sethupathi to attain the brand popularity of Singam . We have used action as an element only at appropriate places,” said Arun.

“If an IT guy fights on a road against the injustice prevailing in the society, that will not convince people. But if a cop batters ten goons, people will accept it. In Sethupathi, the action sequences are shot like that and will orient with reality. This film will take Vijay Sethupathi to the next level in his career. It’s not a mere action film, it has all the elements of a mass film like  rage, love, affection, frenzy, style etc,” added Arun Kumar.

Sethupathi is all set for release tomorrow along with Jayam Ravi-Lakshmi Menon’s Miruthan and Ma Ka Pa Anand-Srushti Dange’s Navasara Thilagam.
