Rajini Murugan joins the Pongal bandwagon
Originally set to release on December 4th after a series of financial setbacks, Sivakarthikeyan’s Rajini Murugan has now joined the Pongal bandwagon on January 14th. The makers have confirmed the release date with an official poster this morning.
Other films eyeing Pongal release include Jayam Ravi’s zombie thriller Miruthan, Sundar C’s multi-starrer horror comedy Aranmanai 2, Vishal’s action thriller Kathakali and Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai. Trade sources suggest that five films will not compete for Pongal and we have to wait and watch which ones finally back out.
