‘Porkalathil Oru Poo’ is a moving tribute to the SL Tamil journalist Isaipriya

Directed by Ganeshan and produced by SSK Creations, Poorkalathi Oru Poo traces the life story of Sri Lankan Tamil journalist and TV anchor Isaipriya. Towards of the end of the civil war in 2009 in Sri Lanka, Isaipriya was abducted by the Sri Lankan army, brutally raped and killed later. She was working as a TV journalist in Tiger TV, LTTE’s primary TV channel. Isaignani Ilaiyaraja has composed music for the film.

“The first half has a very happy story-line while the second half deals with Isaipriya’s struggle. It will be an emotional journey for the audience. The songs have come out really well and I’m happy that Ilaiyaraja has composed music for this film,” says the director. Dhanya, a debutante plays the role of Isaipriya in the film.
