Eclectic debut for Ajesh!
Ajesh makes a delightful debut with Paambhu Sattai. The album has signs of being too harmless and melodious at times, but what it accounts to eventually is good goods. Over time, these songs should pick a sizeable reach.

Neeyum Naanum: Singer – Ajesh
A very simple, lilting melody which has a soothing loop at the background. Ajesh makes the singing sound very husky, but it works in favor of the song. Our PICK.
Nee Uravaaga: Singers – Haricharan, Shreya Ghoshal
Ajesh makes wonderful use of the flute here, the superb renditions going with the flow. The interludes are extremely enjoyable, however easy they may be. Our PICK.
Venmegamaai: Singer – Abhay Jodhpurkar
Very good lyrics and an unsettling feel, but there’s something about the song that doesn’t help it past the bar. Passable slow rock.
Ichukatta: Singers – Deepak, Ranjani
Ajesh’s item number is a fun throwback to Vidyasagar’s tunes which have entertained us over the years. The mischievous vocals and the instrumentations give it a lot of hit value.
Kanavugalaal Kalaindhomey: Singer – Madhu Balakrishnan
It now comes to pathos, and Ajesh keeps it simple again with string interludes and a strong vocalist. At places, it feels like the new age Ilaiyaraja who composes for Bala’s films.

Should have been longer surely, but still a very pumpy theme track. Our PICK.
