“Oru Pakka Kathai explores a hypothetical situation,” says director

Director Balaji Tharaneetharan who made heads turns with his debut outing Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom is busy working on the post production of his second film Oru Pakka Kathai, which has newcomers Kalidas, son of actor Jayaram, and Megha Akash playing the lead roles. The film is gearing up for release in March.

“It is inspired by real-life events. I have accentuated the elements of drama in the incidents. My film explores a hypothetical situation. Everybody looks for spiritualism and divinity outside and in far away places. We tend to take the people or things close to us for granted. We are interested in celebrating concepts we don’t see but don’t celebrate individuals next to us. This is what the film will try to emphasise,” says Balaji assuring that his film won’t come across as preachy.
