Naaigal Jaakirathai Songs Review

Review Overview

Doggy Style (Hero Namma)
En Nenjil
Bhoomi Sutrum
Naaigal Jaakirathai (Theme Music)
Doggy Style - Club Version

Middling Effort!

With two good tunes and an underwhelming number, Dharan Kumar delivers a middling soundtrack in Naaigal Jaakirathai.

Cast : Sibiraj, Arundhati, Manobala, Arundhati

Director : Shakti S. Rajan

Music : Dharan Kumar

Label: Saregama

Lyrics: Yugabharathi, Madhan Karky

  • Doggy Style (Hero Namma) – A Gaana Bala and yes, it’s a kuthu song. A not-so-exciting tune, but thanks to Dharan’s pounding beats, Gaana Bala’s dynamic vocals and Madhan Karky’s catchy lyrics, the song keeps its energy intact throughout
  • En Nenjil – Dharan delivers a sublime melody with Naresh Iyer’s splendid vocals. Madhan Karky’s lyrics depicting the relationship between the dog and the protagonist create a perfect atmosphere for the song. Our PICK of the album!
  • Bhoomi Sutrum – Yugabharathi’s motivating lyrics and Haricharan’s go-go singing are let down by Dharan’s largely uninspiring tune!
  • Doggy Style (Club Version) – A rehashed version of the first track with a slight variation in tempo. Dharan has upped the ante with jarring techno beats. A middling effort from the composer!
