Lakshmi Menon plays a bold woman in Karthi’s Komban

With three good hits in 2014 – Jigarthanda, Naan Sigappu Manithan and Manja Pai, Lakshmi Menon is well-poised for next film Komban where she is paired with Karthi for the first time. “I was intrigued by the character ‘Palani’, a bold woman, and agreed to do the film almost immediately. I didn’t want to miss it, as despite being a Tamil flick, it gives a lot of importance to the heroine,” says Lakshmi Menon to a daily. Raj Kiran plays Lakshmi Menon’s father in the film and the camaraderie between Raj Kiran and Karthik is said to have come out well.

Directed by Muthaiah of Kutti Puli fame, Komban has music by GV Prakash. The film is progressing at a brisk pace and is expected to be completed in November. Lakshmi Menon is currently awaiting the release of Sippai where she is co-starred with Gautham Karthik.
