Kodi aims for release on July 7th

With the shooting of Kodi advancing at a brisk pace in Pollachi, where the major portions of the film are being shot, the makers are eyeing to release the film for the four-day Ramzan weekend on July 7th. It must be noted that Dhanush’s blockbuster Velai Illa Pattathari and the lackluster Maari were released for Ramzan in 2014 and 2015.

Dhanush’s next release will be the tentatively-titled Rail and Kodi is likely to follow suit. Sources suggest that he might team up with Gautham Menon next. The talks are still in a nascent stage and only if everything goes well, the project may materialize before Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai.
