Cluttered cop commercial
Katham Katham is an obsolete film with a wafer-thin storyline and commercial elements slotted in a bobbled order. A go for masala movie lovers and a no for lovers of good, brainy cinema.

Katham Katham brings together the actor duo of Nandha and Natty for a cop commercial. Unfortunately, the two stars are the only takeaways from this flick which is downright silly and pedestrian.
The film is based on the relationship between a strict, honest cop Nandha and his corrupt counterpart – Natty. While the former follows rules and thrives to do his job to perfection, the latter whiles away performing errands for his favourites, breaking the laws and things of that sort. What happens when they both get caught into a web with a politician forms the crux of the film. Sadly, Katham Katham is devoid of a strong plot and is mostly filled with just punch lines and commercial ingredients. After a stage, the film turns into a squirming watch with the proceedings going over the top.
Nandha and Natty are two good things to happen to Katham Katham. While Nandha plays the role of a stiff cop pretty well, Natty compliments him well as he brings out the action hero in himself. Apart from these two, the rest of the cast passes muster. One really wished for a better villain who could stand up to these two. Natty’s dialogue delivery saves this film to an extent, but his acts might get a little too much in the second half.
Technically, Katham Katham suffers from bugs overall in terms of the cinematography and the editing. While the shaky camera fizzles out the visuals, the editing loses out on continuity. Music by Taj Noor is ordinary, going mainstream with the music and the BGM.
