Karthik Subbaraj reveals the plot of Iraivi
Even as movie buffs are eagerly anticipating the first look title of Iraivi which is scheduled to be unveiled tomorrow (Jan 6th), director Karthik Subbaraj has spilled the beans about the film’s plot. “After Pizza and Jigarthanda, I wanted to move to a certain position. That’ when I decided to come up with a simple yet different subject. Iraivi is completely new to me. Balu Mahendra and Mahendran have done emotional stories in wide range of subjects. I’m not sure if I can repeat their magic but, I have tried that in Iraivi,” says Karthik Subbaraj.
“I have traced the lives of three women and their relationships are dealt separately in the film. They are just the normal women we encounter in our day to day life. They won’t advise. They won’t spew feminism. Iraivi is about the story of few women and men. That’s all,” Karthik succinctly puts.
Featuring a multi-starrer cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Kamalini Mukherjee and Pooja Devariya, Iraivi has music by Santhosh Narayanan. The movie is expected to hit the screens in the first quarter of this year.
