Karthik Subbaraj to direct Siddharth next

After an overwhelming success with Jigarthanda, Karthik Subbaraj will join hands with Siddharth again, but this time for a short film. This was revealed by Karthik Subbaraj himself at the official launch of his new venture called Stone Bench Creations, a platform to help meet the demands of independent filmmakers and create new avenues for the short film circle. Karthik Subbaraj has also started two child portals called Bench Casting to help aspiring actors upload their portfolios and Benchsubs to subtitle the films to make it more visible and to cater to the large sections of the global audiences.

Karthik Subbaraj started his career as a short film maker and has now become one of the talents to watch out for in Tamil cinema. Now, he’s going to back to his roots to revolutionise the short film model. Stone Bench Creations will hunt for good, quality short films and release them as an anthology in theaters. It is also said that prominent filmmakers in the industry have expressed their desire to direct short films.
