Kalakalappu 2 Songs Review

Review Overview

Oru Kuchi Oru Kulfi
Karakudi Ilavarasi
Thaarumaaru
Pudichirikka Illa Pudikalayaa
Krishna Mukundha

Shiny EDM tunes.

Jolly EDM tunes from Hip Hop Tamizha. Nothing special or out-of-the-box, but still peppy time pass material that'll work with most. Enjoyable.

Cast: Jiiva, Jai, Shiva, Nikki Galrani, Catherine Tresa

Music: Hiphop Tamizha

Director: Sundar C

Label: Think Music

Oru Kuchi Oru Kulfi: Singers – Gana Vinoth, Saravedi Saran

It might seem like a normal song at first, but mind you, the ‘Vandha Mahalakshmiye’ hook is really addictive later. Gana Vinoth and Saravedi Saran have a blast on the mic with tons of local slang reeling over, this goes on to become our PICK.

Karakudi Ilavarasi: Singers – Jassie Gift, Sudarshan Ashok

Very basic lyrics, but what you get is a catchy love song, mainly due to Jassie Gift’s vocals that grow on you. Another PICK in the album.

Thaarumaaru: Singers – Sanjith Hegde, Sniggy, Hip Hop Tamizha

Even though it’s been ripped off a famous Hindi song and is a proper EDM track sans much innovation, it somewhat works on the party mode. Decent.

Pudichirikka Illa Pudikalayaa: Singers – Hip Hop Tamizha, Varun Parandhaman 3

Liked how this sounds. Lots of autotune and fillers, but Hip Hop Tamizha got his tune right. The backdrop keeps changing, and helps the song maintain it’s excitement level. One more PICK.

Krishna Mukundha: Singers – Kaushik Krish, Padmalatha, Velmurugan

A flat, forgettable number that doesn’t go ahead despite numerous deviations. Barely listenable.
