“It’s a joyous moment for all of us,” says Dhanush on Visaaranai’s honor

Vetrimaaran’s Visaaranai which has been selected as India’s official entry to Oscars has been the talk of the tinsel town, for it’s the 9th Tamil film to have been chosen to represent India at the Academy awards. It was before 16 years Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram was selected by the Film Federation of India committee as the country’s official Oscar submission.

An elated Dhanush said, “It’s a joyous moment for all of us. This is turning out to be a glorious day after the super positive reports of Thodari and now Visaaranai has been selected as the official entry to Oscars from India.”

Vetrimaaran said he is currently researching the procedures and rules of the Academy awards to take Visaaranai to more people.
