Inimey Ippadithaan is a complete laugh riot concocted using a simple tale. It is responsibly carried forward by Santhanam with clear focus. Director Muruganand has pulled off what he was required to from the cast with simple writing, fitting performances and counter dialogues to keep the audiences awake.
Santhanam after his Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham has improvised in all forms and seems very concerned with his costumes, looks and dialogues. The supporting characters have done what the script required and stay supportive till the very end. Santhanam is seen throughout the script and the story revolves around him.
The movie starts portraying Santhanam’s ambition in life to get married to a beautiful girl. He starts getting advises from his friend VTV Ganesh and in the end he tries to find to a girl for himself, after so many humiliations from girls he starts to follow Ashna Zaveri. Whereas she is never bothered to fall romantically interested with any guy and looks to stays bold and active. Santhanam plays all pranks to tickle her interest and eventually wins it over . Thambi Ramaiah, who comes in as Santhanam’s uncle, twists the tale and gets him engaged to Akila. This ends the first half and readies a steady turn for the second.
Santhanam along with his team keeps the first half engaged with fun and good pace. The second half is totally out of control for Santhanam and nothing falls in favor to win over his love. Thambi Ramaiya tricks Santhanam unintentionally at times and offers big laughter and the dialogues are major positives to the script and make the audience neglect the loopholes.
Akila and Ashna Zaveri played their part to perfection. Santhanam never bothers to explain either Akila or Ashna about the marriage and is a huge logical miss but can be taken for granted when comes to script that only aims to offer entertainment. Aadukalam Naren, Prathibha, Fefsi Vijayan, Ranjini and the Lollu Saba team have done their part with neat performances.
What happens in the end, will Santhanam fight it for Ashna Zaveri or finalize his family decision to marry Akila is the climax; along with a twist that will shatters the expectation of audiences funnily. The cinematography is fresh with prompt colors, songs are peachy with good choreography, Editor Ruben cuts it clear for the script.
Overall Inimey Ippadithan has not risked to offer something new but has kept it simple for audiences to enjoy. Finally Santhanam’s luck as a hero is not at stake.
