Gautham Menon has opened about Ajith’s untitled project in a Tamil magazine where he talks about Trisha, Ajith’s role and a possible sequel. Everything you need to know about the Thala 55 is here.
- The team has completed nearly 30 days of shooting and is currently in Malaysia to shoot important scenes in prime locations including the airport
- Since we had to kick-start the project soon, we could not decide the title back then. I used to keep titles for all my projects before I start shooting for the film. As far as Thala 55 is concerned, my desire is keep the title around Ajith’s character name
- Thala 55 is a character oriented film. The entire script is woven from Thala’s point of view. These kind of character oriented films are predominant in Hollywood (Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible series, Jason Statham’s Transporter series) whereas it is somewhat new to Tamil cinema. So, there are possibilities of doing a sequel and I may contemplate the same in future
- Ajith has performed has extra-ordinary stunts and has been doing a lot of special things for the film. He has toned down his body for a portion in the film, the looks of which we are keeping it a secret to make fans thrilled to bits when they watch him on screen. This will be the highlight of the film
- Yes, Trisha is on board and she plays a significant role
- Thala’s Advice: Even before writing the script, he had called me and informed that this should be a Gautham Menon film and Ajith is just a part of it. Never make any compromises for me in the film. Do not feel compelled to add punch dialogues for the sake of it. Let me act according to Gautham’s script is what he advised
