Chithra Lakshmanan plays Kamal Haasan’s PRO in Uttama Villain
Popular actor-producer Chithra Lakshmanan is the latest addition to Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain directed by Ramesh Arvind. Kamal Haasan plays two characters in the film namely Uttaman, an 8th century dram actor and Mano Ranjan, a 21st century cinema superstar. Chithra Lakshamanan will essay the role of Kamal Haasan’s PRO to the latter (Akilanda Mano Ranjan) in the film.
Interestingly, Chithra Lakshmanan’s association with Kamal Haasan go a long way. He debuted as a director in Kamal Haasan’s Soora Samhaaram, debuted as an actor in Kamal’s Jappanil Kalayanaraman and co-incidentally, he was also the PRO of Bharathiraja’s classic 16 Vayathinile. Will Uttama Villain bring back memories of 16 Vayathinile for Kamal and Chithra Lakshmanan?
