Anurag Kashyap inspires Vetrimaaran to make Vada Chennai as two parts
We had earlier reported that Vetrimaaran is contemplating to narrate the story of his upcoming film Vada Chennai with Dhanush in two parts. Now, it’s been confirmed by the director. “The movie spans three decades and has minute details and descriptions which cannot be told in one part. I have completed and sealed the entire script,” confirms Vetrimaaran.
Interestingly, it was Hindi film-maker Anurag Kashyap who inspired Vetrimaaran to make the film as two parts. “Kashyap liked my film Aadukalam very much. We used to be in touch when he was working with GV Prakash for his two part film Gangs of Wasseypur. He always said to me, ‘You write how much ever you want and then decide whether to go for a sequel or a trilogy’,” says Vetrimaaran.
